Advocate For Our Planet

Advocate For Our Planet

2024’s Earth Day theme, Planet vs Plastics, calls to unite businesses, governments, churches, unions, and individuals alike to commit to the end of single-use plastics for the sake of human and planetary health and to spread awareness of the damage done by single-use plastic.

At TO112, our enduring dedication to prioritizing our planet's well-being drives our endeavour to revolutionize high-performance beauty by infusing sustainability into every aspect of our operations. From our cutting-edge formulations to our esteemed partnerships and deep engagement with our community, we are steadfast in our mission to exemplify eco-consciousness in the beauty industry.

Our formulations are meticulously crafted to harness the wholesome power of naturally derived ingredients, complemented by safe and innovative scientific breakthroughs to ensure top-quality performance. Notably, we have boldly reimagined everyday essentials, such as microfiber towels and scalp massaging brushes, by transforming them into non-toxic, biodegradable alternatives, to prevent microplastics from entering our precious oceans.

Embracing a holistic approach, our firm commitment to sustainable packaging practices is unwavering. We prioritize the use of recycled paper, plastic, bioplastics, and biodegradable materials in our packaging, coupled with a steadfast promise to continually seek out and implement pioneering, sustainable packaging solutions.

Our resolved dedication to eco-conscious beauty truly shines through in every facet of our operations, reflecting our resolute commitment to invest in our planet and foster a brighter, more sustainable future for all. In an effort to reduce our contribution to plastic waste, our shampoo and conditioning packaging is made of 100% post-consumer recycled materials, our Ultimate Hair Cream has been reformulated to tubes made from ocean plastics, the hair wraps are made of eco-friendly bamboo fibres, and our brushes are made of sustainable wheat straw plastics that are 100% biodegradable and bioplastic (not petroleum based) meaning there are fewer carbon emissions to make and process it.

TO112 partners with programs such as TONTONTON, which collects and recycles low or no-value plastic that is often ignored by collectors due to its no market value. The project currently operates in 3 highly polluted coastal areas located in Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh City, Hon Son Island, and Phu Quoc Island. All rescued plastics are sent to a co-processing facility to generate Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials (AFRM), preventing the possibility of them ever becoming marine litter.

How To Get Involved

Waste Less

By consciously opting for products with minimal packaging or choosing items with eco-friendly packaging, we can further diminish waste production. Reusable grocery bags, stainless steel water bottles, and bamboo utensils can reduce the need for single-use plastics.

Reducing Carbon Footprint

The simplest way to reduce your carbon footprint is to choose more sustainable modes of transportation like walking or biking instead of driving, using public transportation or carpooling. When at home, conserve energy by turning off unnecessary lights, and electronics.

Sustainable Habits at Home

Along with reducing electricity consumption, being mindful of your water makes a huge difference. Opting for cooler temperatures when showering, and washing laundry are easy yet impactful actions that can collectively make a positive difference in reducing our carbon footprint and mitigating the effects of climate change.

Get Involved in Your Community

Participating in community clean-up events is an excellent way to get involved in environmental initiatives. Consider joining local organizations or groups that host events like community clean-ups, tree planting drives, and other sustainability-focused activities.

Plastics pose a serious threat not only to the environment but also to human and animal health, rivaling the urgency of the climate change crisis. As these plastics degrade into microplastics, they release harmful chemicals that contaminate our food and water sources and even permeate the air we breathe. Shockingly, the global production of plastics has escalated to exceed a staggering 380 million tons annually.

Earth Day is a pivotal moment that reminds us of our collective responsibility to protect our planet. The urgency to address plastic waste has never been greater, as we confront the mounting challenges posed by plastic waste, it becomes increasingly essential to take action and work together towards a sustainable future. Imagine cleaner oceans, thriving ecosystems, and a sustainable future for generations to come. Together, we have the power to make this vision a reality.
